From reading the Ezra 6, it reminds me the time when we were building our new sanctuary at year 2001. ACC had a vision that we wanted a new addition with an official place to worship, more offices & classrooms. After about 4 years of planning, design, pledge & construction, the new addition was done by Sept 2001.
Building a church is the same as building God's temple. We all need to have faith from Him. From the budge was only 1 million dollar to the final cost 2.2 millions. We could see God how to lead us thru the whole process. Not only that, God knew it was the best time for us to build the sanctuary because the construction cost has gone up 300% min. since then. Similar what happened in the Ezra 6, the Israelis received God's blessing. No matter how they faced the obstacles, no one could change God's plan.
From learning all that, we know that if God asks us to do any work for Him, it should be a way that we can finish. It may not be easy but we will surely receive God's help & peace during the process and learn what He is going to grant us at the end.
